What is EPDM Rubber Roofing?
EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) is a synthetic rubber membrane used widely in commercial and residential flat roofing across the UK. EPDM Installation — Our Process in Leeds
Successful EPDM rubber roof installation in Leeds depends on correct deck preparation and adhesive application. Shortcuts at this stage lead to lifting, bubbling, and premature failure — we do not take them.
We strip the existing roof to the deck, replace any soft or water-damaged boards, and install new OSB3 where required. Falls are corrected with tapered insulation boards if needed — critical on older flat roofs in Leeds that were built dead level. The deck is primed before adhesive application to ensure a permanent bond between membrane and substrate.
The EPDM membrane is rolled out, allowed to relax, then bonded using contact adhesive in two passes. All perimeter edges are terminated into trim details or over fascia edges.
